Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found

hello....

when i connect msp430g2 launchpad to the usb port,showing the warning that the "device driver is not installed successfully " and device manager showing Device status: "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)",

in CCS when i attempted to launch the project the console shows "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found"

i tried to install the driver manually using device manager but windows says that it cant find the driver....

please help me to get rid of this problem.......

Hi Sivaprasad,

First of all which Windows OS are you using? Also, the drivers should be automatically loaded.

thats the problem windows cant loaded the driver automatically and even manually......then how can we do it? please help.......

Siva the best way would be to completely uninstall CCS and then install it. Choose "Complete Installation" instead of custom one.

Hai Gautam Sir,

I re installed CCS v5.4 with complete Installation,but the problem ("device driver is not successfuly installed")is still there....

Siva, go for CCS v6 instead and remember to opt for Complete installation.

Dear Gautam Sir,

As per your instruction,i download and installed the CCS v6 with full feature,but still the same situation,"device driver software does not successfully installed",when i tried to install manually windows says that ("windows was unable to install your texas instrument MSP-FET430UIF")..

Iam very passionate in embedded systems designing, iam very interested in TI products . iam a fan of TI.I ordered 4 various launchpads, currently i have a MSP430g2 launchpad,iam new with these all.when i connect this with usb port,again and again this problem arises , then whati do next? iam ready to do any thing...please help...

Siva, this is really very strange. I would like you try on another PC if possible.

Dear Gautam Sir,

you are right, problem is in the OS,due to some malfunctions there are some errors, not only the FET USB but also it cant detect some other USB devices,i reinstalled the OS,now its working.....
