Error during the installation of Code Composer Studio v5

I was trying to install the CCS v5 as administrator in Windows 7, 32 bit OS. During the installation I came across an application error which blocked the installation. I was not able to proceed with the installation. The snap shot of the error and the error log has been attached. The log was showing a file "D:/windows/baserepo/extras.zip" cannot be opened , permission denied.Here the D drive is the tag for the DVD drive with the installation DVD disc. Also the file was not present in the installation disc at the location D:/windows/baserepo/. Please help to resolve this issue.

Hi Ajit,

Did you de-activated your anti-virus and firewall before installation? If not, please try that next.

Hi,

It looks like you're trying to install an old version of CCS5. You can either download a newer version, or copy the contents from the DVD drive onto a local drive to work around this issue.

Hi Gautam,

Thank you very much for your response:).

Since the CCS installation is being carried out in a PC which is an asset of the organisation for which i work, we cannot deactivate the firewall and anti virus.

Thank you very much for your response.

As you told i have copied the contents of the installation disc to local folder and tried the installation. The installation has completed successfully.
Your suggestion has solved my issue. Thanks for the support.
