Hi All,

Ras,
'Floating' requires you to have a license server at your company. A user "Checks out" a license when he needs to use CCS. So, if you had two F01 licenses on the server, two people at your company could use CCS at the same time on any two PC that had CCS installed.
Node locked is installed on a single PC. It is locked (licensed) to that PC (i.e., the "Node"). So, it must be used on that PC. If you get a new PC, you can move the license to the new PC, etc.

David
David,
Thank you for the answer.
I understand from your explanation that the "floating" version F01 is a server based and N01 is a PC based. So if I want to add some users, only I must to buy a license for added users.
Do I think true?

Ras
Hi Ras,
Both Node Locked and Floating licenses are covered in detail here:

Hope this helps

Dear ki,
I have an other question about Node locked.
Does it depend on the PC or the operating system? i. e. if I must to re-install my operating system then I must to purchase a new license or it works on the previous PC having new operating system?
Regards,
Ras
The license is tied to the MAC address of your network adapter so the same license can work for both Linux and Windows on a dual boot machine.

No. It is tied to a physical MAC address of your PC. This MAC address would not change if you reinstalled windows or any OS.
