convert .out to srec file

Hi,

I convert .out file to S2 using Hex500. However, I found the address of one recorder is not continuous. see address 884 below.

it suppose to be 000883 instead of 000884. here one word is skipped. Is this normal or something went wrong?

Hi,

It should be normal since If the hex utility is not used in "image mode", the hex output has gaps correspoding to the gaps bewteen sections (an maybe functions also) in the .out.

Normally these gaps should be visible also in the linker map, so You can verify if your gaps are real gaps or a potential problem.

yes. it is corresponding to the gap in the .out .
