Hallo!

I'm trying to do real-time debugging on a TMS570LS0432 with XDS100v2 USB Emulator and was under the impression that I would be able to do things like watch a variable change without pausing the program.I can't do this in CCS 5.5 and I'm not sure where the limitation is.What do I need to get real-time debugging?

Hi Zeng,

Sorry to inform you that TMS570LS0432 does not support Real-time debugging.

This capability is supported in following TI processor cores:

TMS320F28x cores
TMS320VC55x cores
TMS320C6000 families such as
- 64x
- 64x+
- 674x
- 66x

Full real-time mode is not supported but real-time accesses via the DAP should be, which will allow you to view memory and such (like variables) in real-time. In CCSv5.4 and greater, CCS should automatically use the DAP under the hood. What is the issue you are running into?
