Merging user bootloader and application .out files

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi All,

I want to merge the user bootloader and application .out files to have single binary that can then be used to program at a single shot (using UniFlash). All posts on this topic http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Combining_executable_files. I tried generating merged load image in the way it is mentioned in the link. But when I turned on the controller, it is still in reset state. Help me in merging the OUT files!!

MCU: F28069U

Tools: CCS4, Compiler ver 6.0.2 [I cannot change to CCS5 at this juncture]

thank you,

Vishwanatha

  • All,

I just found out that UniFlash already has a facility to add multiple binary files and program together. This suffices my requirement right now. But this doesn't "merge" the files before programming. I am still interested in knowing how to merge two binary files (Hence I am not marking this "Answered").

  • I apologize for the delay.

There is just isn't enough here to act on.  Details are lacking on how you combined the .out files together.  Can you do more investigation as to why the system is still in reset state?

    Thanks and regards,
