CCS 6.0 cannot create RTSC Static Library Project

I cannot seem to create a new Static Library RTSC project.  Each time I try it, the project is created as executable.  This worked in 5.5.  I found another thread, http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/340737.aspx, which refers to an imported library project switching to executable.  I am experiencing that also.

So my question boils down to, does SDSCM00050195 apply to creating projects as well as importing them?

And will the fix to be released in 6.0.1 also fix creating an RTSC Static Library project?

  • Gerry,

SDSCM00050195 is fixed in 6.0.1.  I will have to check if it applies to new projects as well.

This is what I see when I create a new RTSC library project in 6.0.  The archiver options are listed (unlike the import issue where the linker is listed) but the output type is listed as executable:

Is that consistent with what you see?

    John

  • John,

Yes, what you are showing is consistent with what I see for trying to create a RTSC Static Library

With a RTSC static library project imported from CCS5.5, I see the linker in the left panel instead of the archiver.

And, yes, since my question was to determine if the library creation was fixed as well as the library import, your checking on that would be useful.

    Thanks,

    GerryB

  • Gerry,

I checked and the bug and its respective fix did impact creating new RTSC static library projects as well.  So 6.0.1 should resolve this issue.

  • Will 6.0.1 be released soon?

  • Eric,

I am on vacation so I may not have the latest info but it should be out 2 weeks from now.
