Linux version of code composer studio

My target is running an embedded linux core video engine on the DM6446 and I received a codec from a 3rd party that requires code composer studio to compile. I already purchased the CCS for Win32 but I need the Linux version to evaluate the codecs. Could you point me to an evaluation CCS RPM or linux based eval installer version please?

    Bob,

    A linux version of CCSv4 can be downloaded at the link below:

    http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/Beta_Releases_CCS

    The version is still under development and currently does not feature hardware debugging - all the project build features are implemented, though.

    As the third party codec was probably designed to be built in the windows version of CCS, be advised that some porting may be necessary to build it in Linux.

    Rafael, this is WAY cool... However, any idea if/when the "full-blown" version (i.e., including hardware debugging) would be available?

    As a long-time user of CCS, I remember back in the late 90's when they provided a Solaris version of the toolset. It would be wonderful it TI would support the engineering community with a linux port.

    CCSv5 is expected to have full support for Linux. The wide release of v5 is expected to be sometime in the first half of next year but we will have beta versions of it earlier to try out.

    Any updates on this ? I've downloaded and installed the latest I could find (setup_CCS_5.1.0.03001.tar.gz) but alas the rumored support for the MSP430 (either code gen or debug) is still not included.
