I have a complete Academic Program version of CCS v3.3 that I received around July 2008, and I would like to update to v4.0. Can I get a v4.0 license for free based on the fact that I had a v3.3 license? Or should reapply to the program again?
Thank you for your help!
I believe the academic packages come with subscription so assuming you registered your copy last July you should receive an activation code so that you can download the v4 image and use the activation code to create a new license.
Even though CCSv4 will ship in Aug we are using June 1 as the subscription cut off date. i.e. as long as your subscription was good until June 1 we will send the upgrade info.
John
Hey John,
thank you for your previous reply. I created the license, and everything worked well for a while. I was able to debug with my Spectrum Digital XDS510USB for a while. However, recently it stop working reporting the following error:
You are not licensed to use the currently configured connection-type.
Exception occurred during launch
Reason:
No such feature exists.
Feature CCS_CONNECTION_ALL
License Path: ...
FLEXnet Licensing error:-5,357
What does it mean? Did something expire?
Hi jown,
Have you changed your CCS version recently? What kind of license did you originally generate (30 day, full, etc)?
thanks
