I presume you are using the C6000 compiler.
Please see this wiki article on C6000 memory models. Pay close attention to the section titled Review Memory Models. It has a brief point on -ml3.
You should be able to remove -ml3 and get a clean build. If you don't, then add --mem_model:data=far. If you still have problems, then post about it here. A full explanation of why this should work is contained in that wiki article.
