Unable to uninstall CCS 4.1.0.02006

I also added this to a similar thread on the external CCS forum, http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/p/35063/123520.aspx#123520 .

A major customer is trying to get some codec code from TI to build, and is trying to uninstall 4.1 to downgrade to the release TII is using, 4.0.2. But when he tries to uninstall, he gets the error dialog below

Primarily, how can he get rid of CCS 4.1.0 to get a clean install of CCS 4.0.2?

Secondarily, should an install of 4.0.2 overwrite everything cleanly enough without going through this uninstall process?

    Hi Randy,

    As I mentioned in the other thread, the customer can kill the uninstaller in Task Manager and then delete the leftover folders. I would NOT recommend installing over an existing install (installing CCS in the same directory where another CCS install already exists). Always uninstall first if you want to use the same directory.
