genAIS for DM648 using CCS4

Hi

we are using DM648 for more than a year. with loads of hard times we managed to compile / debug / convert to the OUT file to AIS format using genAIS and program it to the flash. and even boot our application from the flash. all this was using CCS3.3.

we recently upgraded to CCS4 hoping it will be better, but turned out we are wrong. we can compile / debug the program using CCS4. i converted the OUT file generated in CCS4 to AIS using the genAIS (same batch file used with CCS3.3) and programmed the flash. when i reset the power the DSP doesn't boot. if i try the same procedure using CCS3.3 with same hardware it works perfectly.

is there any changes in the procedure to convert to AIS with CCS4 version? i tried TI website still the bootloader document for DM648 is the same as before.

Thanks

  • I am not familiar with genAIS utility. Could you provide some more details (where did you get it?). It does OUT->AIS conversion? How were you flashing the target in 3.3? Does this utility do that also?

    Thanks
