Archieving CCS4 Project

I'm not sure what you mean... are you asking how to create a library project?

I have migrated CCSv3.1 project to CCSv4 and made necessary updates to CCSv4, compiler and linker settings. The migrated project I am trying to archieve into our configuration management system. I am not seeing any option to save a CCSv4 project to .pjt (or similar) file.

So my question is how to create CCS4 project which rest of my development team can use for for their development. We do not want to rely on every one configuring their CCSv4 with comlier/linker settings. Also we want to have an option to reproduce .out file in a consistant manner down the line.

I also see additional files/directories

• .project
• .launches
• .metadata

Do I have to commit all these files to version control? Can I get a expalination as which file contains what information? so that we understand what is going on with the CCSv4 project.

In the below picture, the option above the highlighted one (import existing CCE/CCS eclipse projects) can be used to import existing CCSv4 projects into CCSv4:

If it has a standard extension (like *.asm), you can just add it to your project (copy into your project folder or create a link) and CCS will recognize and build it when you do a project build.

Hi Ki,

I am porting old version project file. It is giving an error as " Unexpected exception encountered while migrating project(s). Please see the Eclipse log file for details."

where can I find Eclipse log file? Any idea why I am getting this error?

I wonder if that means the Eclipse error log. See #7 of http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/3131.aspx for that.

If you can provide a reproducible test case, that would really help.
