CCSv4 (Version 4.1.0.02006) running on HP computer... Cannot connect emulator w/ MSP430 Chronos Watch

Hello,

I am trying to use CCSv4 (Version 4.1.0.02006) to develop code on the MSP430 Chronos watch platform.  I am able to connect the emulator (w/ the included USB stick) using CCSv4 and several Dell computers.  When trying this same experiment with a new HP desktop (running XP SP3), I get the error "Error initializing emulator: Could not initilaize device interface".  This HP computer does successfully connect to other MSP430 platforms... 2013 USB Stick, MSP430F5438 EXP kit (w/ attached FET), etc.  IAR is not loaded on the computer and there are no previous versions of CCS on the computer.  Any idea what to check?
