Debug Server Scripting

Hi,

  Is there a way to get the debug server scripting without downloading the entire CCS?  We are moving to production and don't want to install CCS on multiple machines nor pay for licenses for each machine.

    Will,

    Sorry it is only available in the CCS package.  However the default download is the web installer which does trim the download size based on what you select.  You will still end up with the IDE but you can at least trim down the device support and compiler if needed.

    As far as licensing there are a number of free license options available depending on what type of device you are using.  You could also get a floating license that can be shared by a number of machines.

    John,

      We don't plan to use the CCS GUI.  Our needs are to connect to the 6748 via JTAG and load a .out file along with a .gel file.  The purpose is for our production company to load our flash loader application using the DSS.  The flash loader application would allow production to install our boot code via Enet.  Would we still need a license to use the DSS API's?  Could we use a free version of CCS to access the DSS API's?
