iam using ccs v 6 . i cant run gui app by launching it showing firmware update required.pls help

The firmware on your FET needs to be updated. You need to do this from CCS. Try creating a target configuration in CCS for the same connection and device. Then start a debug session and connect to the target. You should see the same message but also have the option to press the "Update" button to update the firmware. Once this is done, you can close CCS and your FET will be updated.
