CCS v3.3 crash when targeting F28035

Got Piccolo experimenter kit for F28035 controlCard with the code size limited CCS v3.3.83.11, Code generation tools v5.2.0, IDE 5.98.0.416. Installed on Vista 32bit Professional.

Configured F28035 XDS100USB as target.

CCS crashed on startup. If I configure F28035 simulator target then it runs fine.

The known issues for running CCS on Vista do not include this problem.

I am attaching the dmp file (added extension .txt so that I can upload it)

Another annoying issue is that after CCS starts I am promopted to register and after entering my personal data the registration procedure asks for "Service Code"... which is nowhere to be found. The customer support suggested that "the free CCS version can not be registered". Why am I prompted to do it then???

Anyone having better luck?

    Eugene,

    The most recent releases of CCSv4.x have a number of fixes for Piccolo.  This version also has much more testing on Vista and Win7.  If you download the image from the web you can click the "Use free limited license" button to generate a license that will work with the XDS100 on the experimenter kit.
