RTOS Analyser and CCS6

Hi,

I'm using RTOS analyser to monitor some variables values and CPU load. When it works it is fine but it does not always start or quit properly. Here is a list of the issues I encounter regularly:

When terminating the debug sessions, sometimes it closes the RTOS analyser, sometimes not.
When starting the debug sessions and the previous RTOS analyser windows still shows, it does not get the values from the board
At first I was using the button "Execution Analysis" to launch it. However after 1 day of using it, this button would not work anymore. I then used the button Load analysis to launch it.
Sometimes it shows an empty menu, see attached screenshot.
I regularly have to make several trials to make it work

Can you tell me exactly the sequence I have to use to make sure I have no problem?

And how can I reset everything related to RTOS analyser?

I'm using the following configuration:

CCS V6.0.1.00040

UIA 2.0.0.28

Try cleaning the workspace or switch to a new workspace.

Hi,

Unfortunately I have not hit the same issues as you, therefore I can only corroborate what Gautam mentioned and give some additional tips: you can reset your menus by looking at the section General IDE of the Troubleshooting CCSv6 page. Also, given this menu belongs to the CCS Debug perspective, perhaps the section Debugger of this same page can help you resetting a few of these menus.

Obviously the instability may also stem from the combination of components you are using. Just to double-check this aspect, check the thread below:

Thank you both for your replies!

I am using it as described in the documentation and it works OK, it just won't close properly which cause trouble after the first use.

Lauching ccs with the -clean option did not help.

I will have a look at your links to see if any component could be an issue. And try to reset the workspace as well.

Cedric - did you have any luck? Another thing to try is to reset your perspective
