Looking for CCS 3.x ActiveX integration C++ sample plug-in

I recently installed CCS 3.x studio, and have been investigating the plug-in model. I've been able to successfully create a console application and invoke specific through the interface, but have as yet to been unable to instantiate the same through an ActiveX plug-in to the IDE.

Does anyone or even somebody from TI would be kind enough to supply me a sample project?

Many thanks

Beth

  • Beth,

We have an SDK for the CCS COM/ActiveX interface.  However we really try not to give it out for a few reasons.

    1. It is pretty old, likely last updated for CCSv3.0
    2. It is pretty hard to use.  Not a lot of embedded developers are used to using this type of interface.
    3. There is no support for it.  It is AS-IS.
    4. It uses older MS libraries.
    5. Any plug-ins created will not work with newer versions of CCS (i.e. v4)

What sort of APIs are you looking for?  Often what people are looking to use can be handled by the CCS Scripting library (which also has a COM layer).

    Regards,

    John
