How to load .out file

Hello

I am using CCS v6 and LCDK6748, also I have the XDS100v2 USB JTAG Emulator. I would like to load .out file. How can I do it??

This file is compiled because it is an example (facedectect example in C6SDK).

I am pretty new with this software.

Hello,

I would go over the content in the URL that Johannes referenced. It is good to get started with.

For your specific issue, you want to start a project-less debug session and then load an out file.

How to start a project-less debug session? See:

Once in a debug session, you can then load the program via 'Run -> Load -> Load program' menu item.

But If I only have the .out file, Can I download with CCS v6?

Hi,

Check this: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:Debugging_projects_v5

Although it's for CCS v5 I think it works the same way for CCS v6. Note: to create a Target Configuration File you don't need to create a project, just go to File->New->Target Configuration File, also check the optionals in the wiki for instructions of loading any .out that's not in a CCS project folder.
