Just viewed the link http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/CCSv4/Demos/blinkmsp430.htm and did as mentioned in the video to blink a LED but getting error while debugging. It says Error initializing emulator:
No USB FET was found

What target hardware platform are you targeting with this demo?

I did do eactly as mentioned in the video on the link.

I was able to do this ok following exactly what the demo did. Note that demo is using an F2013 eZ430 usb stick.

Based on the error message you are getting it seems like CCS cannot find the stick. Are you perhaps using a Parallel port FET? If so that is likely the problem as CCS defaults to USB. You can change it to PP by double-clicking on the .ccxml file in the project and changing the connection drop down to be the parallel port FET.

If you are using the usb stick or a usb FET then check in Windows device manager and see if it is listed under "Ports (COM & LPT)"
