Having problem setting break point

I have code running in the debugger, place the mouse on a line of code and right click, the context menu comes up, I click toggle breakpoint and nothing happens. The code is a debug build without any optimizations. This worked on Friday 2/26. I'm using Code Composer Studio Version: 4.0.1.01001. Any ideas?

Can you set a breakpoint on the same location from the Breakpoint view?

Also, build 4.0.1 is a bit dated. I'd recommend an upgrade to the latest (4.1.1)

No - I can not set the break point from the Breakpoint view. Does 4.1.1 fix bugs is it new features?

Did you try setting one by specifying an address? Could you confirm that you can write to that address?

Between 4.0.1 and 4.1.1, there are bug fixes, support for new devices and some additional features.

I tried specifying an address and that does not work. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "confirm that you can write to that address?" - its code in flash, I can not write to it.

Ah, ok. Did you try an explicitly set a HW breakpoint?

Also please provide some more details about your use case. #2, 4, 5 of : http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/3131.aspx

And did you try updating to 4.1.1? There have been a lot of fixes with CCS since that release. Please update yoru version and see if that helps.

I upgraded to 4.1.1 and the problem is gone. I hope someone there knows why.

There have been many fixes.enhancements made to the breakpoint manager since 4.0.1, some of them with similar symptoms to the issue you described. It is likely that your issue was related. Hence my original recommendation to upgrade to the latest patch. Also another possibility was CCS cleaning your workspace after the update. But the former is most likely
