CCS 4 not working after automatic update

I fired up CCS4 v. 4... don't remember what number. Got an alert about an update being available. Ran with that. Was told CCS would have to restart. Did that. There was some cryptic message, presumable from Windows, saying "Application corrupt", but CCS did restart. It is now showing v.4.1.0.0100.

Go to File/New/Other. Get Select a Wizard dialogue. It is dead, cannot select anything, hence cannot create a new file.

Machine is a Dell Precision M64000 running WIn XP x64 Professional, SP2, 8 GB RAM

Any idea what's wrong? Should I just reinstall CCS4 from scratch? Where from in that case?

  • Hi Paul,

4.1.0.0100 is certainly not a version we released. I'm not sure how you got that. Could you try running the update manager again? Search for new features (the default is to update existing ones). 4.1.1.00014 is the latest update and what you should try to update to.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki-Soo,

I am trying to update CCS v4 and am having trouble. Seems like CCS thinks the updates are there already and so cannot update. I have included screen shot. May be you can explain what those icons mean.

    Thanks,

    Tim
