CCS4 crashes when connect to target

Can you do the following steps and send us the log file?

Add the following environment variable to your system

Variable Name: TI_TRACE_LOGGING

Variable Value: 6

Once you have added these, can you perform the steps needed to get CCS to crash again?  A Log file will be created in the following directory

C:\CCStudio_v3.3\cc\bin\Logs

The enviroment variable has been set, and a new log file is attached.

The log file was copied from directory:  \ccsv4\DebugServer\win32\components\Logs

As you are using CCSv4, the required log file (.txt) is in ccsv4\emulation\analysis\bib\logs directory.

Plase send this log file.

Following up with info from our other conversations just in case others are having these issues:

• onboard emulation (comes with the Stellaris kit) works fine
• XDS510 emulators work fine (have to short pins 9&11 TCK and TCK_RET)
• SD510 USB works fine (have to short pins 9&11 TCK and TCK_RET)
• SD510 USB Plus works fine (there is a setting described http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/How_to_setup_CCSv4_with_SD_XDS510_for_TI_Stellaris_M3 that can be used instead of shorting the pins).  For Jan-Erik it was necessary to rename the ctools.dll to get past a trace server error.
