XDS100V3

I could not find the appropriate place to put this, but we are using the XDS100V3 to program via the command line.  Our application interfaces with the command line .exe, and we are considering using this for production.

Is there a way to speed up the programming clock?

  • Are you using 1149.7 (cJTAG) or 1149.1 (JTAG)?  You can try modifying the clock frequency in CCS to see if you get faster (but still reliable) operation.

Open your .ccxml file in CCS.  Click on the advance tab at the bottom.  Then click on the XDS100v3at the top of the tree on the left.  Now you will see the properties for it on the right.  The clock values are near the bottom.

For XDS100v2 I believe you are limited to 2MHz but with v3 it looks like you can try to go higher.

I would just incrementally increase and see if it works.

If you are looking for a big jump in speed I would grab an XDS200.
