CCS 5.5 free license Issue

I have MSP430 Launchpad. While installing code composer studio 5.5 in my PC, I selected 90 days evaluation license. I did not register it to get the license key from your web site. Now my CCS is not licensed.

May I get free license for my launchpads (MSP430, TIVA-C). Now I can not activate free license. It shows "you should activate 90 days of evaluation license".

I need to know how I get free license for my MSP430 Launchpad and TIVA-C Launchpad

    Hi Manu,

    Why don't you activate the 90-days evaluation license for now (you'll get full featured CCS). As until 90-days get completed you'll not be allowed to shift to other license type. You'll have to uninstall & re-install CCS to initiate license type again to "Free License".

    Also, MSP430 parts don't support "Free License" at all. Please go through this link for more info:

    I also have TIVA C Launchpad. I am just using these for learning purpose. I heard that when we are using Launchpads we get full access. So that should be helpful to me.

    Can I activate free license after expiring this 90 days of evaluation?

    Yes, for TIVA launchpad you can surely use the Free License.
