Hi , I am a beginner.

We bought the TI AM335x IDK.

I got some problems when I try to connect the IDK by CCSv6

it is the environment on my PC (My OS is Win8 64bit)

below it is the error information when i try to IDK initialization .

Target configuration >> test connection >> launch >> connect cortx-A8 >> load GEL file >> Scripts AM335x initialization 。

How did i solve this problem, please teach me.

Hello,

The GEL file for the screenshot looks like the one for the AM3358 EVM. What device did you select in your target configuration?

Hi,

just to close out this issue, the GEL file selected above was correct and is located in the IDK package here

C:\TI\am335x_sysbios_ind_sdk_1.1.0.6\sdk\tools\gel\IDK

Before running the GEL script the ARM needs to be in supervisor mode (CPSR register). This is done by doing a CPU RESET (HW) from the CCS menu. Then you can run the GEL script initialization of the IDK EVM and should not see the above issue.

Hi,

actually, the CPU HW reset via CCS causes the MMU to be turned off in the CPSR. The failure above is quite likely because the MMU was turned on when the GEL script was running. The MMU needs to be off for the GEL script to run correctly.
