working with CCS 4.1.1.00014 I have some suggestions for future release
- XDS100 when a problem occour on the emulator, sometimes is impossible to regain control of the board (working with prototypes, with flying wires sometims happen to have emi or power fail due shortcircuits).
in these cases I try to cycle power (or disconnect - reconnect) XDS100, but I must exit and reenter CCS in order to use emulator. Seems to be impossible to "reconnect" the emulator witout exiting CCS.
- in watch window drag&drop don't work properly. When I drag a watch somewhere else, i just obtain a copy of the watch variable in the end of list, and the original remains in place.
- in watch window, when I move with keyboard up-down after modified a variable, it would be useful to have the upper-lower variable selected, not the whole row. It would be coherent with the behaviour of most spreadsheet and would be good in order to modify more variables using just one hand and the keyboard (appreciable when you have the probe in the other hand)
- in debugger options, "halt on program termination" and "enable cio" are enabled by default. When these are enabled, is impossible to debug a flash project using stepping and breakpoint, because these two options fills all hw breakpoint.
I think the default should be whith these off (almost the "halt on program termination") for the flash compile. It would be useful if the "not enough breakpoint" error apparing when tying to steprun the program, could suggest to change these settings to try ti fix (I lost one hour on forum to discover it from forums!).
