Project Migration Between Computers

Hello,

I am trying to move a Code Composer 4.0 Project from one computer to another and am having problems.

I got the build working on Computer 1.

I copied the build to Computer 2 (including .setting/, .ccsproject, .cdtbuild, .cdtproject, .project, and macros.ini).

When I try to compile I get the following error:

C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\utils\gmake\gmake: *** No rule to make target `APP_TLT_Dat.obj', needed by `../TL/DSP_AP_TL.out'.

C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\utils\gmake\gmake: Target `all' not remade because of errors.

Any help?

Hi Mark,

After you copied the files, did you do a 'Project->Import Existing CCS/CCE Eclipse Project?

Yes, I copied the files to Computer 2. Then did 'Project->Import Existing CCS/CCE Eclipse Project'.

It looks like it imported it correctly. All of the files and compiler settings looks identical to the way they looked on Computer 1.

Hello,

Im having the same problem here. The same version of CCS is running on both computers, the directory structure is the same too (including names) and I still have a problem to build the program. Basically I copied the files from a computer to another.

Looks like the compiler do not create the .out file, but all configurations (between computers) are the same.

Instead of simply copying the files, try using the export/import feature in CCSv4. See slide 17 of the tips and tricks presentation for more details.
