C2000: Which Compiler version to upgrade to?

Hello Community,

I am using Piccolo F28069U and CCS4.3, compiler 6.0.2. I am planning to upgrade to a new compiler version (to get the advantages of fixes). However, I am not sure of which version to upgrade to. Our product is about to go to Series production early next year and I don't want to mess things up too much.

Could someone advise me on this?

Hi,
I did go through the version history and got the question exactly because of that. There are so many versions available.
I'll simplify my question - Can I upgrade to 6.4.x directly, from the current 6.0.2 and still sure that the binary generated will behave as expected?

It is all but certain that everything will be fine. That said, you are upgrading across 3 major versions. That's a larger than usual change.
