gmake error

Dear All

Who can please help me? For 2 years I am using CCS for C2000 (free version) and for the first time I got this error:

**** Build of configuration Debug for project ADC & Time Base ****

"C:\\ti\\ccsv5\\utils\\bin\\gmake" -k all
'Building target: ADC
The system cannot accept the time entered.
Enter the new time:
gmake: *** [ADC & Time Base.out] Error 1
gmake: Target `all' not remade because of errors.

**** Build Finished ****

Compiler works,but I cannot download the code to my target chip TMS320F28027PTT. And what is this "gmake" ?

Hello Audrey,

gmake is a version the "make" utility used to build programs. CCS uses gmake under the hood to build projects

Are you using the time command? The error you see seems to happen in such cases on Windows PCs.

Hello,Ki
I solved the problem now.I used the name for the CCS project " ADC & Time Base". Seems gmake recognized this strange project name as its own command.I think one must never use symbol "&" in CCS project names.
Correct me ,if I am wrong.But after I created the same project with DIFFERENT name,all my problems gone away.

Ah yes, the ampersand is an issue with Eclipse CDT based projects. Thanks for the update.
