Error Initialising emulator

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335, CCSTUDIO, CONTROLSUITE

I am a newbie to DSP processors. I tried installing the emulator and CCS v 3.3 to use TMS320F28335 processor for my internship. I could install CCS and the target content packages following the instructions given in the f28335_eZdsp_quickstartguide. After this, when I connect the processor to the PC, the 'found new hardware wizard' opens.  This installation is taking a very long time. I am not even sure if it is right as I have waited for more than an hour for the drivers to install but it did not happen. When I open F28335 eZdsp CCStudio, I get an error saying 'error initialising emulator' with I/O port details and all. The Debug->connect process also gives the same error. And the PC does not detect the device by itself now though it is shown in the device manager. On clicking on update driver, it shows 'driver is upto date'.

I would like to know if anyone has tried using this method and has succeded. Please do reply as to how can this problem be overcome. Or if there is an alternative way to program TMS320F28355, It would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.
