    The compiler is usually installed within the CCS directory structure at install_root\ccsv6\tools\compiler\ti-cgt-msp430_4.4.1 .  This directory contains a file README.txt which documents changes and features introduced by this compiler.  The file DefectHistory.txt documents the bugs fixed in this release.  An up-to-date PDF form of the compiler manual is here.  

    If you are referring to the help accessed from within CCS with the menu selection Help | Help Contents ... I'm not sure how that gets updated.  I'm looking into that.

    There was an issue with the initial posting of MSP 4.4.x user guide for CCS.

    It should be available now. There is a quirk, however, in how eclipse (CCS) presents updates to users. If you currently have MSP help for 4.3 or earlier compilers, then the usual "Help->check for updates" will only show later versions based on 3rd version digit.

    In order to find and install MSP 4.4.x help please do the following:
    - in CCS, click on Help->Install new software
    - in the "Work with" field, input codegen and select below entry:
    Code Generation Tools Updates - http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/codegen/Updates/p2win32/
    - you should then see two entries
    TI Compiler Help
    TI Compiler Updates
    - if you expand "TI Compiler Help" then you should see other versions of the help user guides including an entry like below:
    MSP430 Compiler v4.4 Help 4.4.1.201501021554
    - click on a install above entry

    Please let me know if you have any additional issues with this.
