determine which license is registered to which PC

Hi,

Is there a way to determine which PC is using which CCS license (i.e. which activation ID)?  I cannot use the Host ID (MAC Address) listed on the "myRegistered Software" page because some of them say, "ANY."

Thank you

  • For floating licenses you could access the license server logs and see which PCs are checking out licenses. However I believe you are probably using node locked licenses.

There is no "phone home" type feature in the node locked license that will show which PC is running the license. Node locked licenses are locked to a particular PC. i.e. they are locked to a specified MAC address. If you see one that lists "ANY" then it is a license that is not restricted by MAC. This is typically one of our free licenses that are restricted by time or features.

  • Just adding to John's reply, the "ANY" licenses can also be related to subscriptions - i.e., an existing license that was renewed.

To check which licenses are currently renewed, check the column "Entitlement ID", which should match the subscription with an existing license - at least it does on my registered software.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael
