CCS v6 debugging step into mallfunctioning

Hello All,

When I am doing debugging of my CC3200 launchpad in CCS v6 free license. By clicking Step into (F5), It is not execute one by one Instructions of "C" it is directly jumpover on C-code.

Please guide me.

That usually happens when you have compiler optimization turned on. In the project properties, set Optimization to off and rebuild the project.

One more thing,
My Project's build configuration is set active as release. Is it fine or I need to set as debug.

It is possible CCS is not using the correct source files for debugging. Does the assembly code (View->Disassembly) seem reasonable?

I am not familiar with your project or the CC3200 launchpad. It might make a difference. Try it out, but first delete the Debug folder (if it exist) in the project explorer window.

Hello Bhavdipsinh,

Are you loading your code from flash to RAM and then running your code from RAM? If so, you need to set breakpoints in RAM after the code is copied from Flash; otherwise, the break point will most likely be set at the wrong address, causing the issue you are experiencing.
