DEBUG

Do I need to define my own "DEBUG" symbol under the "predefined symbols" of the project properties in order to use "DEBUG" ?. I tried _DEBUG, DEBUG, DEBUG_ but none seems to be predefined when I a running the project as a debug configurations...same with "Release"

This issue does not seem to be related to device. I have moved this thread over to a compiler forum in hopes that it will get a faster response there.

Generally it is not required for you to define this symbol in order to create and debug the "Debug" build configuration, unless your code uses this predefined symbol in some manner (such as #ifdef DEBUG for some conditional code etc).

I AM trying to use #ifdef in my code but DEBUG doesn't seem to be predefined. My question is what to use with #ifdef because DEBUG, _DEBUG, DEBUG_ don't work?

Hi Murad,

You need to set predefined symbol "DEBUG" in order for the code to be executed in a

#ifdef DEBUG

code here . .

#endif
