Re: How to setup target for OMAP-L138 EVM in Code Composer Studio ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO, OMAP-L138

I'm having this same problem: error box with message like this:

---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Unable to find an appropriate registry key for "ICEPick_C"
Target driver: C:\CCStudio_v3.3\drivers\tixds510icepick_c.dvr

After a few (very, very slow) un-installs and re-installs, I'm still unable to make it work.

I have tried to follow the instructions you have set up in this link:

http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/How_to_connect_to_the_OMAP-L138/C6748_EVM_board_using_CCS%3F

But unfortunately I can't. The ZIP file I downloaded from LogicPD's site does not contain the import file 'C6748_xds100.ccs', only OMAP-related files ('OMAP138_*.ccs', four of them)

Something that may be related to this problem: I'm using the same machine to do development for a 28335; I had a previous installation of CCS3 (working fine) that was destroyed when I installed the CCS2 that came with the EVM kit (in a separate path). Now I have removed both installations and made a clean install in the default path.

I have no idea what I may be doing wrong, but I have to take a decision regarding this board this very week, so if anybody can give me a clue I'd appreciate it.

  • I have tried installing CCSv3.3 on a 'clñean' machine (a virtual machine with no previous installation of CCS3) ad it works.

In short, it seems that the version of CCS3v3 shipped with OMAP-L138 EVM can't be installed in a machine where CCS has been previously installed.

Does that make any sense to you?

Is there a solution that does not involve switching to a clean machine?

    Thanks!
