I'm trying to download a firmware to MSP430F2619, but CCS shows me the message: "Error initializing emulator: MSP-FET430UIF is already in use"
I'm using CCS 6.0.1.00040,
Linux Mint 17.1 (uname -an: Linux mkh 3.13.0-37-generic #64-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 22 21:28:38 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux).
What should I try?
How can I do it in terminal?
I've tried unplug and plug emulator again. but this made no effect.

Despite your distro is not officially supported, I can suggest a few things to check:
- which FET are you using? Is it a standalone box or is it embedded into a development board? Some of the built-in FETs are not supported in Linux.
- If you have a white MSP-FET430UIF, you should have a /dev/ttyACM0 device; if you have a black MSP-FET you should see an additional /dev/ttyACM1 device.
- if you don't see those, it is possible you do not have the device drivers properly installed. Go to the CCS install directory and run the install script as superuser:
user@host:/opt/ti/ccsv6/install_scripts$ sudo install_drivers.sh
- if you have already ran the scripts, perhaps there may be something wrong with the hardware of the FET itself. In this case, the last idea I have is to run lsusb and get detailed information about the device itself. For that, follow the instructions at the page below and compare the output of lsusb -D with the attached files for both the white and the black versions of MSP-FET.
