I've been debugging successfully a C2810 project board with CCS3.1 and a Blackhawk XDS510 for a few years. I just bought a Blackhawk XDS100v2 and downloaded + installed the free CCS4.1, apparently successfully. I imported my CCS3.1 project and can now compile it without errors on CCS4.1.However if I try to connect to my target board with the XDS100v2 I get this error message:
C28xx: Error connecting to the target: Error 0x00001200/-1135 Error during: OCS, Target, Unrecoverable emulation error
Retrying after this repeats this error message:
C28xx: Error connecting to the target: Error 0x00001200/-1041 Error during: OCS, Target, Device driver: Problem with the Emulation Controller. It is recommended to RESET EMULATOR. This will disconnect each target from the emulator. The targets should then be power cycled or hard reset followed by an emureset and reconnect to each target.
Resetting and cycling power does not help, I cannot get any further. I used DBGJTAG to test the JTAG link, and it looks OK.
I am wondering if there was not a mixup between my previous Blackhawk driver and the new one, because the "Blackhawk Control Panel" installed by CCS4 seems to be the same as my old one. Furthermore, the BHDetect utility provided with CCS4 in the Blackhawk reports an old "CCSInstallation" with XDS510 on my CCS3.1 path.
Also: I have to add a 8'' cable between the XDS100v2 and my project board to connect the 14-pin JTAG headers, because the XDS100v2 will not physically fir on my PCB. Could this extra length be problematic?
Thanks for your support
