CCSv4.0 - Putting project under VSS (Visual source safe)?

Team,

Customer has a problem to get CCSv4.0 with VSS. See below description.
Any ideas?

Best regards,

A.

I started working with the new Code Composer Studio 4.0 a while ago and tried to install the Visual SourceSafe Plugin according to the instructions written on the following page:
http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/SourceSafe_plugin_installation

I successfully went through all the installation steps and was also able to activate the VSS command menu. But for some reason this menu is greyed out and I cannot put my application to the VSS:

See attached pcture.

What could be the reason that this menu is greyed out?

I am working with Visual SourceSafe 2005. Is there any compatibility issue?

  • I can see this as well.  However I can still right click on a project.  Select "team->share project..."  I can then add the project to VSS.  Once I do that the name of the project shows the path to the VSS repository in parenthesis after it.  All the files will show a ? on top of the icon indicating that they are not yet in VSS I can add them by clicking on them and going to the team menu again.  Once a file is in VSS it the ? changes to another indicator (differs if checked in or out).  I can also open up the VSS browser, checked out files view...  You can open up these views by going to window -> Show View -> Other and select VSS.

I think I will update the wiki topic to skip adding the main menu and add more info on how to use the other menus.
