CCS V4.0: What Java Version should be used.

Can someone please address the question for my customer? Thank you in advance. Ray Franzen (Infinity Sales - TI Rep)

Using Code Composer V4.0 with a 6455 DSP. We are having difficulty during debug sessions stepping code occasionally on one of two test very similar test set ups. We would likd to know if there is a preferred Java version to be used with this V4.0?

CCSv4 comes with the JRE (currently version 1.5.0 b14) version it needs. It will use that version by default.

Are you building code with -g option and without optimization (i.e no -o1,-o2 or -o3 flags) ?. If code is optimized, you will not be able to step over specific lines of C code. as the compiler could have multiple C lines into pipelined assembly.
