Hi,

We are currently working on TMS320F28062 controller. We use CCS Uniflash tool to program controller through JTAG.

I need to know , Internally how the password matching takeplace through JTAG and how the sectors gets erased.

Can you be a bit more specific on what do you mean by internally? Do you plan to use scripts to do the above activities?

Hi,
We already developed one utility to program the same. Now we want to provide a password to that utility .
I need to know before erasing how did the uniflash matches the password and continue the programming by erasing the sectors.
Means every time .out file gets modified or something else happens there.

Sulochana,

When you click 'unlock' in UniFlash, the user provided password in the GUI is written to the Code Security Module Registers locations (0xAE0-0xAE7), and a dummy read is done to the password location (0x3F7FF8–0x3F7FFF) to unlock the device.

After the device has been unlocked, you can erase the sector containing the password information (Sector A) to remove the password.

More information can be found in the datasheets of your device.
