Debug/Edit perspectives do not stay locked

This is an issue with CCS 6.0.1 running in windows 8.1 64 bit which I do not see in Windows 7 64 bit.

The Debug and Edit perspectives do not stay where I want them.  The CCS Edit perspective keeps adding a debug window when returning from the CCS Debug perspective.  Is there a way to settle the views in each perspective and keep them from changing?

Thank you.  -ANDY

  • Do you mean that it adds a view from the debug perspective to the edit perspective when terminating a debug session? If so, I've occasionally seen the same thing with the disassembly window in CCS 6.0.1.00040 on Windows 8 64 bit.
  • Hi Andy,
What you are seeing is a known issue with Eclipse. And it is not specific to windows 8 since I have seen it on my windows 7-64 bit machine, though I have no issues with my windows 8-64 bit machine (so far).

It is also a sporadic issue where the developers have not been able to reproduce. I see it sporadically myself. does it always happen in your case?

    Thanks
    ki
  • There is a choice you can make in the Windows=> insert menu where you can select the Perspective you want when certain operations are being performed. I changed that and the problem seems to have gone away. Thank you very much for responding. -ANDY
