gmake: *** CreatePipe() failed (e=161). stop

Dear sir,

I am sorry to bother you but there is a problem and I need some help!

Wnen I use CCS4.2 to compile a project, the final result is gmake: * * * CreatePipe (failed) (e=161). stop, After a lot of try ,it seems that deleting a .c source file is effective,but when I add a blank source file into the project , the problem remains.Is there a file number limit to the CCS project?

CCS 4.2 is a very old version, so it is possible that the error you are seeing no longer occurs with a newer version of CCS. Are you able to update to a newer CCS? The latest version is 6.0.1, which you can download and install (with a free evaluation license) from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS

You can still keep your existing CCS installation and simply install CCS 6.0.1 in a different directory. Give it a try and see if you run into the same errors at compile time.

is there an off-line installation package for CCS 6.0.1?

The offline installers are available at the same link. Scroll down the page to the table that lists the different versions and you should find both the web installers (online) and the off-line installers.
