Migrating from Code Composer V4 to V6

Hi Monica,

You can directly import the CCS v4 based projects to CCS v6. You should not face any issue in doing so. TI has not released any documentation or wiki article to do so.

Thanks for answering.
When I import the project, I get a message that a product of type com.ti.rtsc.XDAIS is not recognized and the project needs it.
I've just installed the Code composer V6 on another PC and I don't know what else I need to install and where to check on the old PC (that has the V4 install) which versions I must install to be able to compile the project.

I've check in V4 and RTSC is version 3.16.2.32.
On the new PC RTSC is 3.30...

Now I get some other errors reated to some *.asm file that are actually excluded from the build. I've deleted from the Debug folder the .obj file and now I get an error 'cannot'. That's the complete error message 'cannot'.
What can I do next?

After some more project copying, files deleting and compiling only in V6, I got to only 1 warning.
Should I worry about this:
This project was created using a version of compiler that is not currently installed: 5.2.6 [C2000]. Another version of the compiler will be used during build: 6.2.7. Please go to <a href="liveaction:OpenAppCenter">CCS App Center</a> to install the compiler of the required version, or migrate the project to one of the available compiler versions by adjusting project properties. testV6 properties Problems

One more question.
Why when importing the project in V6 the *.cmd file is automatically excluded from the build and the macro.ini is renamed macro.ini_initial.
I've included the *.cmd file and renamed the macro. Is it ok to do this?

It's not possible in V6 to have files excluded from the build?
I'm using the F2806x_CSMPasswords.asm file in my project, but I only want to included in the final version. I can't just keep it in the project, but exclude it from the built?
