I note an bug report was raised for the spell-checker not being working from this earlier thread: 
The bug report resolution has this set for version 6.2 which, according to the schedule is not set for release until September of this year (2015). Is it possible to get this moved up to the upcoming 6.1 release, or even the 6.1.1 release?
I understand this may be related to a CDT issue (though I dont see any current eclipse bugzilla report for it), but also that for those of us that document in the code using tools such as Doxygen, JDoc, etc, this is not such a minor issue.
