CCSv4 JVM Heap Low warning

What are you doing with CCS when you get this message? Anything particular? Or is it pretty random?

VERY random.

The JVM message is asking to increase Xmx. Before I had stated it was Xms. Now I'm not sure it was Xms or Xmx the first time I saw it. Anyhow, increasing Xmx to 512 and Xms to 128 to see what happens.

What are the specs for the PC that you see this problem with?

Xeon CPU 3.2 GHz 3.19 GHz, 2.0 GB RAM, 50 GB hard drive with 15.3 GB free (I recently defragmented )

Did raising Xmx to 512 help?

The jury is still out on if it worked. Yesterday I stopped using "Debug in a new window" to see if the tool would be more stable. I'd imagine that using a new window would use up more virtual memory.

That being said, I did not see the JVM low warning yesterday with -Xmx512m

I am using XP SP2 OS.

With XP, your machine should run v4 w/little problem. I can't imagine "debug in a new window" taking up that much additional resources. Maybe it was cranking up the heap size higher that did it. We do keep the default heap size intentionally low so machines with low memory can run ok. 

It was a good day (if good days are defined by not getting the low JVM message). Looks like Xmx512m did the trick.

I'd be a happy guy now if CCSv4 hadn't hung while renaming a project! Had to kill it with the task manager. Sad.
