CCSv6 support for MSP430FR6989

How do I locate/load the target configuration files for the MSP430FR6989 processor for CCSv6. The processor variant is not in the processor list in the project properties dialog. The error message directs you to the CCS Apps which indicates the support files are loaded simply by updating the CCSv6 software which I have done. Apparently they have not been added to the most recent build.

I have download the water meter software using the FR6989 and imported into the CCS. The import fails with the non-recognized processor warning.

I am new to CCS and the FR6989 so any help would be appreciated.

Which version of CCS are you using 6.0 or 6.1? v6.1 does have FR6989.

It looks like I have version 6.0. I used the update manager but it must not update the overall CCS.

Hi,

I can see this device on my CCSv6.0.1. You can try to update the MSP430 Device support in your current install. For details, check section 2.2 and 3 of the page below:
