Hello people,

I have some problems about installing CCS. I have downloaded and installed CCS however I could not find my dsp ( TMS320LF2406A ) and thought that it could be a license problem and tried to evaluate 90 days full version. However I got this error.

After getting this error, I thought it could be a file corruption, therefore I tried to uninstall and reinstall CCS. Unfortunately I got an error again,

Finally, I tried to reinstall without uninstalling then I got another error.

I tried these by running as administrator and downloaded setup file again, unfortunately these did not solve my problem. Please help me about this problem.

Hi Volkan,

A quick suggestion, if you're using a XDS100 emulator you can use the "Free License" option.

Hello Gautam,

Firstly, I thank you for your reply. However the thing is I could not activate the 90-days-trial. Firstly, I need to try and see if I can program my DSP with trial edition of CCS then I can buy full version license. At this moment I could not even try the program. I cannot uninstall, reinstall or activate the program. However, thanks for the clarifying the point that I will not be able to program my dsp w/o buying the full version. It was not fully clear to me. Now, I know that I need to buy but first I need to solve this installation problem.

I've never mentioned "Full License" anywhere..... Its "Free License". Please read carefully.
I'll ask again, Are you using XDS100v2?

Ah, I am so sorry. Since I am new in DSP programming area, I could not fully understand your answer. You mean the usb connection. On the usb connection it says "XDS510LC USB JTAG". What do you suggest me? Should I buy XDS100? Can I program my TMS320LF2406A with XDS100?

XDS510LC is better than XDS100 and hence you don't have to buy one. Is this CCSv6?

Yes. I downloaded it yesterday (and today). It is version 6.1.0. There should be an installation problem because I cannot do anything with my CCS. It starts with an "getting started" screen and some of buttons on this screen (for example "new project" button) does not respond to my clicks.

Uninstall CCS and also don't forget to delete the ti folder itself with it. Later turn off the anti-virus and firewall..... then install the latest CCS v6.1

Thank you. Finally, I could uninstall and reinstall CCS. However I cannot find my DSP in the DSP list. Where should I look to find TMS320LF2406A?

Sorry but the F24x devices are not supported in CCSv6. The last version of CCS that supported this family is CCS 3.3.
