why is the correct way of burning program to DSP board using CCS?

Hi All,

I am using CCS version 6 (free version) and I have built my DSP board using TSM320C5505 with EEPROM (SPI). 

The JTAG is 14 pin and my intended debugger is XDS100V2 (14 Pin).

Can anyone tell me what would be the correct way to burning the program to the board? i.e. after the reset or power-up, the DSP will work stand-alone.
